Liz Alterman (founding member) is a journalist, author, and mom of three. When she isn’t writing or responding to “What’s for dinner?” she enjoys reading, baking, and failed attempts at gardening. Liz Glazer (founding member) is a comedian, writer, and actor who has appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. She has sets on Don’t Tell Comedy, Nate Bargatze’s The Showcase, and a special, “Do You Know Who I’m Not?” which she filmed at a sold-out 400-seat theater. GL Douglas is a comedian, actress, host, and producer. She has headlined at the legendary Apollo Theater, The Stress Factory, Lounge Boise, and more. Caren Lissner graduated from the University of Pennsylvania. Her humorous first novel, Carrie Pilby, was adapted into a Netflix romantic comedy film of the same name, starring Nathan Lane and Saturday Night Live’s Vanessa Bayer. She has published humor in the New York Times, McSweeney’s, the Washington Post, and Parents Magazine, and has performed stand-up comedy in Hoboken, New York, and Philadelphia. Carole Montgomery has headlined clubs and colleges across the USA and starred in multiple Las Vegas shows. In 2018 Carole performed on the Melissa Etheridge & Friends cruise. Most notably, she created and starred in Showtime’s highest rated comedy priemere of 2019, Funny Women of a Certain Age. Nancy O’Connor (founding member) is a New York based stand-up comedian who has performed internationally. She was the 2024 Ladies of Laughter finalist. She can be found on her socials at @nancyknowsnothing sharing adventures with her 90-year-old roommate.
Karen Reiner has performed with Ladies of Laughter, at the Bell House in Brooklyn, The Erma Bombeck Confrence in Dayton, OH, World Cafe Live in Philly and more. She was the winner and audience favorite on more than one occasion at the First Person Arts Story Slam in Philly. As a golf widow and a mother of four, Karen has a tenuous hold on her sanity. Holly Rizzuto Palker (founder and producer) is the Mom Com’s founder and producer. A writer, editor, secretary of The American Society of Journalists and Authors (ASJA) and co-host of Literary Mama’s podcast This Mama is Lit!, she has performed with Ladies of Laughter and was a finalist in the Erma’s Got Talent. Stephanie Silberstein (artistic director) recently surprised herself by stepping into stand-up comedy and is thrilled to be part of The Mom Coms. She is a college Theatre Professor and director, a teaching artist at Paper Mill Playhouse, and a proud member of SAG-AFTRA and AEA. Though classically trained, her biggest claim to fame is her role as Carrie Bradshaw’s answering machine. At home, she performs for her toughest crowd: her four kids, her husband, and a 90-pound rescue puppy who doesn’t give notes.
Becky Veduccio (founding member) is a stand-up comedian and award-winning comedy writer. She is the recipient of a New York Press Club Award for humor and has appeared on America’s Got Talent, in the film Maid in Manhattan, was finalist in Ladies of Laughter, and recently filmed a role on the Netflix show, Survival of the Thickest. www.beckyvedducio.com
